"A Center for God's Presence"

I thank You Holy Spirit that I have the will, strength and desire to obey the will of the Father. You have purposed that my mouth shall not transgress and so I thank You Holy Spirit for guarding my tongue and directing the words that I speak so that I may know how to answer all men, Psalm 141:3-5 NLT.

Profanity resides in the heart and only God can cleanse a person’s heart. Therefore, I thank You for taking four-letter words out of my heart and replacing them with Your expressions. I choose not to use profanity which causes injury to my bones and is a part of the curse,  Psalm 109:17-19; Psalm 39:1. Therefore, I bind and block assignments of negative harmful words loosed in the atmosphere and sent to attack my household and me.

Furthermore, I choose to release expressions and loving words that will glorify God. I also desire to have gladness and joy in my life. I choose not to be enraged which could affect my circulation. Nor should I gossip; judge others; poor mouth or complain because I will have what I say!

Today I give God full charge of my tongue and I choose to allow Holy Spirit to tame my tongue  and cleanse my heart. So, create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right, persevering and steadfast spirit within me, Psalm 51:10-12. I thank you in advance for the purging and for allowing the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart to be acceptable in Your sight. By Your grace I will only speak words that will bring honor to Your name.

Therefore, with Your help, I will open my mouth in skillful and godly wisdom and on my tongue will be the law of kindness [giving counsel and instruction], Prov. 31:26. Kindness flows from my mouth now, turning away wrath. I choose to speak forth righteousness and praise God all the day long.

I refuse (shut my mind against, have nothing to do with) trifling (ill-informed, unedifying, stupid) controversies over ignorant questions, for I know that they foster strife and breed quarrels, 2 Tim. 2:23. Death and life are in the power of my tongue and my words have creative ability, Prov. 18:21. I further realize repentance is twofold, it requires turning away from sin and turning to righteousness, therefore, I repent for any involvement I may have had in any controversy that was a game, a political tactic or an outright lie or slander.

I choose to trust You Lord to deal with any offense so I can prosper and enjoy the life You died to give me. In that, I can enjoy those dearest and nearest to me, the ones  Father God blessed me with, I choose to believe the best about them,

I Cor. 13:7, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
