CAST YOUR CARE DECLARATIONS

Dr. Audrey L. Dickey, Los Angeles, CA

“Be still and know that I AM God!” Psalm 46:10. In Hebrew it may be spoken: Let go and know  (recognize and understand) that I AM God. True rest is believing that God will do what He said, Phil. 4:6-7. Stop doing things in your own strength and continually commit all to the Lord, I Peter 5:7.

The enemy of life wants us to miss what we can do something about by having us to try to change or be concerned about something we have no control over. Distractions and smoke screens are to remove our focus off of our harvest. We must acknowledge that there is nothing we can do to change things that are out of our control. That is the perfect time to RELEASE our concerns and give them to God leaving it with Him as we pray for instructions and continue with His purpose, knowing He will handle it because He is faithful, 2 Tim. 2:13 Message Bible.

…For the Battle is not yours but God’s, 2 Chron. 20:15.
God is not a man, that He should tell or act a lie…Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good?  Numbers 23:19.

Jesus not only commanded you to not allow your heart to be troubled and afraid, He also said, “[Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled],” John 14:27.  You have to stop it, you must exercise self-control. You have to get hold of yourself and fight off the persistent temptation to give away your peace and keep the gift of rest.

Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice, Isaiah 41:10.  I rebuke the fear. My God loves me and He has an abundance of things.

Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything (in other words, be anxious for nothing), but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants (your request) known to God, Phil. 4:6; Mt. 6:25-34.

Fret Not yourself because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. The wicked plot against the [uncompromisingly] righteous (the upright in right standing with God); they gnash at them with their teeth but the Lord laughs at [the wicked], for He sees that their own day [of defeat] is coming, Psalms 37:1, 2, 12 and 13.

Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall, or fail) Psalm 55:22 & 2 Peter 1:5-10.

When we cast our cares God can establish us, Psalm 112:7 and 2 Cor. 9:8.

I will stay steady in unstable times! No matter what comes my way, God’s way is my way. I meditate and prepare my mind and my emotions to respond properly-God’s way. I respond in love and faith. I stand strong, always in heaven’s plan, always the victor! I take the time to examine myself I am quick to repent of anything that I find out of order in my heart. I am quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. I receive my promised promotion – promotion that comes from Him and Him alone, Psalm 75:5-7!  (Kenneth Copeland.)

ONE WAY T0 CAST YOUR CARE USING VISUAL AIDS:

Place your concerns on the floor (bills, notices, lawsuits, taxes, whatever) and walk around them seven times to the right while you sing – Wonderful Jehovah, Jehovah is Wonderful over and over. When you sing, it brings you into the presence of God according to Psalm 100:2. When you repeat the word “Wonderful” you are declaring what it really means in the Hebrew language and that is, He is “Wonderful” – the God that is an Extraordinary Strategist; He has a master plan; He cannot be confused; He is beyond all that you can conceive; He is Supernatural; He knows the Way out of every crisis; He knows the Way out of poverty and sickness; He knows the Way out of darkness; He knows how to make you successful and lead you into all truth and prosperity for your life when you listen, trust and follow His ways and instructions!

SCRIPTURES REGARDING ANXIETY & WORRY:

Deuteronomy 31:6:
Be strong, courageous, and firm; fear not nor be in terror before them, for it is the Lord your God Who goes with you; He will not fail you or forsake you.

Psalms 86:7, 10:
In the day of my trouble I will call on You, for You will answer me. For You are great and work wonders! You alone are God.

I Peter 5:7:  (Read verses 6 – 10)

God will exalt, settle, perfect and establish you above it all).
Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.

Prov. 15:15:
All the days of the desponding and afflicted are made evil [by anxious thoughts and forebodings], but he who has a glad heart has a continual feast [regardless of circumstances].

Matthew 6:27:
And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure (cubit) to his stature or to the span of his life? The Lord will perfect that which concerns me…Psalm 138:8.

Matthew 6:31, 33:
Therefore do not worry and be anxious, saying, What are we going to have to eat? Or, What are we going to have to drink? Or, What are we going to have to wear? But seek first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

Matthew 6:34:
So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble.

Matthew 4:19:
Then the cares and anxieties of the world and distractions of the age, and the pleasure and delight and false glamour and deceitfulness of riches, and the craving and passionate desire for other things creep in and choke and suffocate (choke) the Word, and it becomes fruitless.

Isaiah 40:31:
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Psalms 91:1-2
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust.

SCRIPTURES REGARDING PEACE:

Job 22:21:
Acquaint now yourself with Him [agree with God and show yourself to be conformed to His will] and be at peace; by that [you shall prosper and great] good shall come to you.

Psalms 85:8:
I will listen [with expectancy] to what God the Lord will say, for He will speak peace to His people, to His saints (those who are in right standing with Him)…  (Also read v10-11.)

Proverbs 16:7:
When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Isaiah 26:3:
You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.

Isaiah 54:10:
For though the mountains should depart and the hills be shaken or removed, yet My love and kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace and completeness be removed, says the Lord, Who has compassion on you.

John 14:27:
Peace I leave with you, My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you.  Not as the world gives do I give to you.  Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled].

Philippians 4:7:
And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

2 Thessalonians 3:16:
Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace (the peace of His kingdom) at all times and in all ways [under all circumstances and conditions, whatever comes].  The Lord [be] with you all.

Hebrews 12:14:
Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord. Ps 94:12-15: He wants us to come to the point where we can keep ourselves calm in the day of adversity.

OBTAINING GOD'S PEACE:

Faith is not to ask and then worry, but ask and believe. If you have given God authority over everything that happens in the lives of your family, and then worry, you are taking it back and taking Him off the case. Once you have confessed the Word of God over them, do your part and leave the rest to God. If you allow God to take your burdens and keep relying on what He said, you will be free.  (Apostle Frederick K. C. Price.)

Discernment starts in the heart and enlightens the mind. Reasoning on the other hand prevents God from getting through to you. Reasoning is not faith. Romans 8:6 says, that the mind of the flesh is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit. Those who flow in the mind of the Holy Spirit will have life and peace; those of the flesh will have a miserable life. Using common sense (using our minds in an attempt to understand something) is fine with God but to reason until you are confused is not relying on the Holy Spirit but solely on your fleshly mind. At this point we need to pray for discernment and wait on God to reveal to us what we need to know.  There is no peace of mind and heart if we reason without God’s truth to enlighten us. Trust that He is in charge and that He will take care of everything that concerns you.  (Joyce Meyer Everyday Life Bible p.1572).

T.L.C.  Will change your outlook and perspective!

T = Thank God in everything. Start thanking God throughout the day in and for everything, from minor to difficult things remembering the thanksgiving command and feel the comforting presence of God’s peace. Be convinced of our heavenly Father’s tender loving care in that we can only be thankful in everything because we know He loves us.

L = Love those around you. Let your gentleness be evident to all. Ask the question = how can I show gentleness in this situation? It will change your response towards others and bring an inner peace. Allowing God’s love to flow through us gives us joy and purpose despite our circumstances. We learn how to react to others in love. We can only truly love because He’s shown us His unconditional love.  We extend God’s grace to others and remember also that, if it were not for the grace of God, there go “I.”

C = Commit worries to God. Do not be anxious about anything! Cast your care to the Lord and leave it there by trusting that He is God and in full control. Cast down arguments and thoughts sent to your mind that are not of the Lord. Measure everything by what the Bible says and do it. We can only commit our cares to him because we know he tenderly cares for us in every detail of our life. If you do not have peace about something it means you still have it. Measure everything by what the Bible says, check that thought against the Bible.

WAIT ON THE LORD:

“Expect,” “look for,” and “hope in Him”. Waiting on God is not a passive state of doing absolutely nothing. We may do nothing physically, but spiritually we are excited and enthusiastic; we expect and look for God to show up in our circumstances at any moment and we are full of hope, which is joyful and confident expectation. Expectancy prepares the way for God’s miracle-working power! (From Joyce Meyer Study Bible p. 2028)

.
You do not lose anything by waiting on God and His timing. Doing things in His timing in the right season with the right motive and purpose will cause you to accomplish quickly what may have taken years beyond what you invested because the Holy Spirit was sent to impart to you wisdom, ideas, strategies, and so forth as well as to help you and bless your work, time, energy, money and all that would increase your life.

In the meantime, we continue with the last instruction we received from the Lord as we continue to live upright and by His Word as much as possible.

Peace develops as we:

Pray and seek His Face
Read His Holy Word
Study the Word of God
Decree and declare the Word of God
As directed by the Holy Spirit, read Christian books and materials
Love and Help others
Be willing and obedient to follow and trust the leading of Holy Spirit

As we do the above we will receive:

Peace that is beyond understanding
Order in our life
Balance in our life
The Wisdom of God
Revelation – He will reveal mysteries to us
Strategies will be given to us in order to have a better life
We will be given the plan and purpose for our life as well as lead and guide us in it
We will have all of the help and protection we need in life
We will receive a release of ‘The Blessing’ for our life
We will walk in the fruit of God and operate in our gifts and calling
God will be in a position to give us His Promises
He will anoint our lives to help those around us
He will enlarge our spiritual and natural territory
He will exalt, settle, perfect and establish us,  Psalm 112 & I Peter 5:10
