THINGS TO CONSIDER IN DECISION MAKING
Speak your choices out loud:
First choice, speak out Loud: I am going to do this…
(Check with your spirit, did you have a peace about it when you said it?)
Second choice, speak out Loud: I am going to do this…
(Again check with your spirit, did you have a peace about it when you said it?)
Peace Should Rule! Refuse to make decisions under pressure. Wait on Peace. Where there is no peace the Holy Spirit is speaking and alerting you that are making a wrong decision.
When God has spoken:
1. It will go against reason and rationalization;
2. You will need faith to fulfill what God has spoken; it will require faith/ confidence;
3. It will require courage - the willingness to do (Jos. I - be strong and courageous);
4. What God speaks will line up with the written Word;
5. Peace will show if it is God’s timing and His will, otherwise a lie or deception;
6. Maintain a spirit of expectancy. Expectation releases the anointing;
7. Balance and/or confirm what you hear in your spirit. 2 Tim 3:16-17. If doubt, don’t step out, ONLY step out in faith.
Deut. 30:19-20
I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life that you and your descendants may live and may love the Lord your God, obey His voice, and cling to Him. For He is your life and the length of your days that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to give to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Embrace godly wisdom, when you don’t get a rhema (spoken word) from God, you need to use wisdom to make good choices. Wisdom will give you the strength you need (wisdom of the matter and the counsel of the Lord will give you the strength to carry on and war after your prophecy). Wisdom gives you the power to discern, to judge and to map out a course. Wisdom will help you make the right choices, it is our Friend. Wisdom will always lead you to God’s best; to God, quality is more important that quantity. The audible voice of God is not needed when wisdom is already shouting the truth. You need but do what you already know is right to do.
