PUT YOUR SHIELD OF FAITH ON
Inspired by Joyce Meyer's Devotional
My Time with God, July 30th
…Quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one], Eph. 6:16
We always have the victory against the attacks of the devil if we lift up our shield of faith against him at the onset of his attack.
(1) Release your faith in God by remembering the faithfulness of God and trusting Him to take care of whatever the matter is.
(2) Replace the wrong thoughts with good ones and overcome evil with good, Romans 12:21.
(3) When the devil is attacking, we dare not be passive and do nothing. We must come against him. Never believe the lies but use the Word of God which is the sword of the Spirit!
For example:
Replace any fear and worry with trust in God and the confidence of knowing who you are in Him!
Replace criticism with thoughts of humility and love
Cast down vain and negative thoughts and words spoken to you, 2 Cor. 10:4-5.
(4) Faith is a shield, lift it up by declaring your trust in God and it will protect you.
