Many general prophecies have been fulfilled from the first through the 20th century regarding the state and condition of the world. For example: “Wars and rumors of wars,” Matthew 24:6. We can say this has been fulfilled and is an ongoing fulfillment even now in the 21st Century. What I would like to address is the fulfillment of specific prophecies that have taken place and are complete with no further fulfillment needed. What I have found are the following:
Isaiah 66:8
May 14, 1948 Israel became a state (a nation) in one day. United Nations voted to make Israel a nation.
Isaiah 66:9-14
May 14, 1948 – July 1949 The civil war between Palestine Jews and Palestine Arabs changes to be a war of independence. God delivers Israel along with Jerusalem and brings peace.
Zechariah 12:6
June 5-10, 1967 the six day war of Israel against the Arab nations of Egypt, Syria, Iraq and Jordan in which Jerusalem and the West Bank of the Jordan River were taken by Israel. Eventually the West Bank was yielded to Arab control.
Jeremiah 31:7-14
May 14, 1948 The return (aliyah עלייה) of the Jews from the diaspora, the dispersal of the Jews to the nations. Officially began when Israel became a nation and continues to today.
The above along with the general prophecies like the moral degradation of society to such a degree that we can imagine that those (those in the majority) in society are like they who were in Noah’s day. The Lord said, “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of man be.” By this we understand that we are not only in the Last Days but in the final years and days before the Lord’s return.
