"A Center for God's Presence"
Jewish and Christian Believers are one in Christ (Hamashiach) Jesus (Yeshua)!
It is paramount that we understand that we are inextricably tied to the destiny of Israel because they (those who have salvation) as well as we are God’s chosen people. He is our God and He is their God and there is no separation between us through the blood that Jesus shed on the cross.
Our primary scripture is Ephesians 2:11 – 15
“Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh – who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands – that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace.”
Therefore it is of vital importance that we understand that what happens to Israel can very well happen to us. Have we not seen that Christians in Israel and the Middle East in general are being attacked as severely as the Jews? It is because satan and his kingdom of darkness sees us as the same as Jewish believers. Satan also knows that God is in the process of bringing salvation to as many Jews as will receive Him.
We must be on a constant vigil as to what is occurring with Israel and its relationship to its neighboring countries and also the world!
Don’t ignore what’s going on with Israel because the fullness of God’s blessing is tied to how we bless Israel.
The Apostle Paul tells us that Jesus Christ’s (Yeshua Hamashiach’s) intent in going to the cross was to create One New Man out of Jew and Gentile because we are brought near that is we enter into the covenant through the blood of His cross, John 3:16; 4:38-42; Acts 10:44-48.
The covenant of promise was first given to Abraham in the following scriptures. Though the Lord made the covenant with Abraham He allowed at that time that anyone who was a servant that was purchased was to be circumcised and become a partaker of the covenant.
Genesis 12:7, 8-14
"And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your decendants after you. Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.” And God said to Abraham: “As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations. This is My covenant which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: Every male child among you shall be circumcised; and you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between Me and you. He who is eight days old among you shall be circumcised, every male child in your generations, he who is born in your house or bought with money from any foreigner who is not your descendant. He who is born in your house and he who is bought with your money must be circumcised, and My covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant."
At Passover, the Lord made dispensation that any foreigner or stranger desiring to stay with Israel could or must be circumcised in order to partake in the covenant.
Exodus 12:38, 43-49
"A mixed multitude went up with them also, and flocks and herds – a great deal of livestock. … And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, ''This is the ordinance of the Passover: No foreigner shall eat it. But every man’s servant who is bought for money, when you have circumcised him, then he may eat it. A sojourner and a hired servant shall not eat it. In one house it shall be eaten; you shall not carry any of the flesh outside the house, nor shall you break one of its bones. All the congregation of Israel shall keep it. And when a stranger dwells with you and wants to keep the Passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as a native of the land. For no uncircumcised person shall eat it. One law shall be for the native-born and for the stranger who dwells among you.'"
God has always had a way to be a partaker of the covenants of Israel, that is, of Abraham by being circumcised and committed to the Law.
Romans 11:1-36 (paraphrased)
The Apostle Paul explains concerning Israel that God did not totally do away with Israel, but for a time has blinded them to the truth. However, not all of Israel has been blinded! He says that there has always been a remnant who has believed. So Paul using a metaphor of an olive tree for the house of Israel, says that the stump or trunk of the olive tree by God’s grace is the remnant of Israel which is holy, that is, believing Israel which has received the covenants of God including the New Covenant. He then goes on to say that unbelieving Israel has been broken off of the olive tree and He has allowed the branches of a wild olive tree, Gentiles who become Believers in Jesus Christ (Yeshua Hamashiach) by faith, to be grafted into the holy olive tree to become holy and part of the tree itself. What is most important is that those who are grafted in must be careful not to be boastful for in so doing they can be removed from the olive tree and that which was taken out can be grafted back in if they receive Jesus/Yeshua as Lord by faith. Paul goes on to say in vs 25-33; “For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written; “The Deliverer will come out of Zion, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; for this is My covenant with them, when I take away their sins.” Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. For as you were once disobedient to God, yet have now obtained mercy through their disobedience, even so these also have now been disobedient, that through the mercy shown you they also may obtain mercy. For God has committed them all to disobedience that He might have mercy on all. Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!”
Therefore, we now partake of the better covenant and that is we receive the covenant promises through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Jeremiah 31:31-33
"Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah – not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."
Galatians 5:6
"For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision, nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love."
