NOTES:
*The Main Three Feasts the Lord asks us to annually remember are: Passover (Pesach); Pentecost (Shavuot) and Tabernacles (Succot), see the Feasts listed in Leviticus 23. The Biblical (Hebraic) calendar year starts on Rosh HaShanah (Trumpets) and the cycle of feasts starts in Nisan the first month of the Biblical Year. Please note Pentecost day two is for outside of Israel).
The Feast of Lots also known as the Feast of Purim. This feast is celebrated because Queen Esther and her cousin Mordechai who raised her as his daughter, overcame evil Haman and his plot to kill all the Jews (Esther 3 - 4) and saved the Persian Jews from death as well as established Purim, Esther 9:13-32.
The Feast of Passover biblical date is Nisan 14th. Passover is the first feast in the first month of the biblical year. The Feast of Passover and Resurrection Day are both a time to celebrate redemption, freedom and deliverance by the power of the Blood! Passover celebrates the children of Israel being delivered from bondage in Egypt through the blood of a lamb that was without blemish. This was also a type and shadow of things to come. In the mystery tied to this story we see the Passover Lamb, Jesus the Christ, Jesus the Messiah (Yeshua HaMashiach) was the fulfillment of the sacrificial portion of the Law regarding the Passover lamb. The shedding of Jesus' perfect blood was possible when Heavenly Father prepared Jesus' body with blood that was not corrupted by the curse that was released after the first Adam disobeyed God and fell, Hebrews 10:5; Genesis 3. Therefore, the Feast of Passover also celebrates the Believer's deliverance from their sins by the blood that was shed by our Passover Lamb, Jesus the Messiah. God gave a sign to His people to recognize how their Messiah would come, Isaiah 7:14 Amplified Bible, "...Behold, the young woman who is unmarried and a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel [God with us]," Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:22, 23.
The Feast of Unleavened Bread immediately follows Passover for seven days.
The Feast of Firstfruits, (the Barley Harvest) is the firstfruits in the month of Nisan of all the other harvest that will ripen in their season) but the Firstfruits is also known as Resurrection Day (formerly known as Easter). In reality, Resurrection Day is the first Sunday after Jesus (Yeshua) died on the cross and rose on the third day from the dead to give us (all who chose to believe and receive His gift) Redemption and Eternal Life.
Yeshua (Hebrew for Jesus) has the authority to give us Redemption because Yeshua HaMashiach is Jesus the Messiah, Jesus the Christ, the Anointed One, our Passover Lamb, the Firstfruits and the fulfillment of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, I Corinthians 5:7-8; John 1:29-30 AMP. Believers are redeemed by His blood. God raised Jesus from the dead on the Feast of Firstfruits to show that Jesus is the Firstfruits of a new Creation, I Corinthians 15:3-6; 20. He is our Firstfruits and His Resurrection guarantees our resurrection.
Pentecost (Shavuot) is linked with increase, increase of revelation, provision and Holy Spirit power. It is also known as the Feast of the Harvest and the Feast of Weeks (Exodus 23:16 AMP). It is one of the three Feasts that the Lord commands to be kept yearly. Pentecost simply means fifty (50) and occurs fifty days after Passover, (Leviticus 23:15-16). It is a Sabbath of Sabbaths - it's a Double Blessing. God delivered His people out of bondage of four hundred years of slavery and death in Egypt and then fifty days later He gave them the beginning of the Torah through Moses (the first five books of the Holy Bible). Then fourteen hundred (1400) years later God delivered His people out of the slavery of sin and death by the Blood of Jesus/Yeshua and fifty (50) days later in an upper room on the day of Pentecost, a sound from heaven came like a blowing of a violent wind and filled the whole house where these men and women were sitting. "And there appeared to them tongues resembling fire, which separated and distributed and which settled on each one of them. And they were all filled (diffused throughout their souls) with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other (different, foreign) languages (tongues), as the Spirit kept giving them clear and loud expression [in each tongue in appropriate words]," Acts 2:1-4. This was the beginning of Jesus' church which is advancing the Kingdom of God and will set things in the world in order!
9th of Av (Tisha B' Av) is usually a day of destruction and three weeks prior to the 9th of Av is known as "The Dire Straits." However, we can decree and declare the opposite as Believers in Yeshua (Jesus) and align with God's will to receive the blessing and not a curse.
The Biblical Year of 5784 will end on October 3, 2024 on (Tishrei 1, 5785) when the Biblical New Year begins.
The Fall Feasts are as follows: Trumpets (Rosh Hashana); Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) and Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot).
